NOLAN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development AN ACT to amend the arts and cultural affairs law, in relation to chang- ing New York state history month from November to October THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 57.02 of the arts and cultural affairs law, as added by chapter 113 of the laws of 1997, is amended to read as follows: 1. Each month of [November] OCTOBER following the effective date of [this section] THE CHAPTER OF THE LAWS OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHTEEN THAT AMENDED THIS SUBDIVISION shall be designated as New York state history month. § 2. This at shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14175-01-8
