BILL NUMBER: S1075 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the election law, in relation to appointment of election inspectors by minority parties PURPOSE OF BILL : This bill shall grant each minority party the entitlement to appoint one election inspector who shall posses all of the powers of inspectors of the majority party SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Subdivision 3 of Section 8-202 of the election law, entitles each minority party to appoint one election inspector who shall possess all of the powers of inspectors of the majority party, and whose duties shall be determined by the chairman and board of inspectors acting pursuant to this section. CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to appointment of election inspectors by minority parties THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 8-202 of the election law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows: 3. IN ADDITION TO ELECTION INSPECTORS AS APPOINTED BY THE MAJOR POLI- TICAL PARTIES PURSUANT TO SECTION 3-400 OF THIS CHAPTER, EACH MINORITY PARTY SHALL BE ENTITLED TO APPOINT ONE ELECTION INSPECTOR WHO SHALL POSSESS ALL OF THE POWERS OF INSPECTORS OF THE MAJORITY PARTY AND WHOSE DUTIES SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF INSPECTORS ACTING PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION. § 2.
