 AN ACT to amend the tax law, in  relation  to  establishing  a  business
   franchise  tax credit for ten percent of the value of foreclosed prop-
   erties

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  210-B  of the tax law is amended by adding a new
 subdivision 52 to read as follows:
   52. FORECLOSED PROPERTY TAX CREDIT. A  TAXPAYER  SHALL  BE  ALLOWED  A
 CREDIT  AGAINST  THE TAX IMPOSED BY THIS ARTICLE. THE CREDIT SHALL EQUAL
 TEN PERCENT OF THE FAIR MARKET  VALUE  OF  ALL  REAL  PROPERTY  OF  SUCH
 TAXPAYER  FORECLOSED  UPON  IN  THIS  STATE  IN  A  GIVEN  TAXABLE YEAR,
 PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT SUCH PROPERTIES ARE DONATED  TO  A  MUNICIPALITY
 AGREEING TO SUCH DONATION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to taxable
 years beginning January 1, 2018.

 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  tax law, in relation to establishing a business
   franchise tax credit for ten percent of the value of foreclosed  prop-
   erties
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 210-B of the tax law is amended  by  adding  a  new
 subdivision 53 to read as follows:
   53.  FORECLOSED  PROPERTY  TAX  CREDIT.  A TAXPAYER SHALL BE ALLOWED A
