 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  creating  the  State
   University of New York Teachers' College
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new article 116 to
 read as follows:
                                ARTICLE 116
           UNIVERSITY OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK TEACHERS' COLLEGE
 SECTION 5800. COLLEGE CREATED.
         5801. OBJECTS AND PURPOSES.
         5802. ADVISORY BOARD; APPOINTMENT; POWER AND DUTIES.
         5803. PROPERTY TO BELONG TO STATE.
         5804. TUITION AND FEES; CONDITIONS.
         5805. CONDITIONS OF MATRICULATION.
         5806. DEBT TRANSITION.
   § 5800. COLLEGE CREATED. THE UNIVERSITY  OF  THE  STATE  OF  NEW  YORK
 TEACHERS' COLLEGE IS HEREBY CREATED, AND SHALL BE ESTABLISHED IN ALBANY,
 NEW  YORK.  THE COLLEGE SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE SUPERVISION OF THE STATE
 UNIVERSITY TRUSTEES.
   § 5801. OBJECTS AND PURPOSES. THE COLLEGE SHALL HAVE  AS  ITS  OBJECTS
 AND PURPOSES:
   1.  TEACHING  IN  THE  ART AND PRACTICE OF THE TEACHING SCIENCE IN ITS
 VARIOUS CAPACITIES INCLUDING THE CULTIVATION OF  THE  ARTS,  LITERATURE,
 AND  THE  VARIOUS SCIENCES; EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION; ELEMENTARY EDUCA-
 TION; SECONDARY EDUCATION; LANGUAGE TRAINING; SPECIAL  NEEDS  EDUCATION;
 LESSON  CREATION; CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT; CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTA-
 TION AND USE; EXAM CREATION AND GRADING; CURRICULA MANAGEMENT AND IMPLE-
 MENTATION; CHILD DEVELOPMENT; ADOLESCENT DEVELOPMENT; AND  THE  SUBJECTS
 DEEMED  NECESSARY  BY  THE  BOARD  OF REGENTS FOR THE EDUCATION OF STATE
 PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS.
   2. THE CONDUCT OF RESEARCH  AND  EXPERIMENTATION  IN  MODERN  TEACHING
 TECHNIQUES.
