 Introduced  by  Sen. BONACIC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Aging
 
 AN ACT to amend the real property tax  law,  in  relation  to  the  STAR
   income verification program
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Subparagraph (iv) of paragraph  (b)  of  subdivision  4  of
 section  425  of  the  real  property tax law is amended by adding a new
 clause (D) to read as follows:
   (D) THE COMMISSIONER SHALL PROVIDE THE LOCAL ASSESSOR OR OTHER  PERSON
 HAVING  CUSTODY  OR  CONTROL OF THE ASSESSMENT ROLL OR TAX ROLL WITH THE
 NAME AND ADDRESS OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHOSE INCOME IS BELOW THE  SUM  OF
 EIGHT  THOUSAND  FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS AND THE MAXIMUM INCOME PROVIDED IN
 PARAGRAPH (A) OF SUBDIVISION THREE OF SECTION FOUR  HUNDRED  SIXTY-SEVEN
 OF THIS ARTICLE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
