JENNE, TITONE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to including certain facilities in the definition of originating site THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 2999-cc of the public health law, as amended by chapter 167 of the laws of 2015, is amended to read as follows: 3. "Originating site" means a site at which a patient is located at the time health care services are delivered to him or her by means of telehealth. Originating sites shall be limited to facilities licensed under articles twenty-eight and forty of this chapter, facilities as defined in subdivision six of section 1.03 of the mental hygiene law, private physician's or dentist's offices located within the state of New York, PUBLIC, PRIVATE AND CHARTER ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS, SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS AND CHILD DAY CARE CENTERS WITHIN THE STATE OF NEW YORK, ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES, ADULT HOMES, CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES AND OTHER SENIOR LIVING RESIDENCES WITHIN THE STATE OF NEW YORK, and, when a patient is receiving health care services by means of remote patient monitoring, the patient's place of residence located within the state of New York or other temporary location located within or outside the state of New York. § 2.
