 AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in  relation  to  requiring
   the suspension of the license to operate a motor vehicle of any person
   convicted  of  three  or  more  violations of school zone speed limits
   within eighteen months

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Paragraph b of subdivision 2 of section 510 of the vehicle
 and traffic law is amended by adding a new subparagraph (xviii) to  read
 as follows:
   (XVIII) FOR A PERIOD OF SIXTY DAYS WHERE THE HOLDER HAS BEEN CONVICTED
 OF  THREE  OR  MORE  VIOLATIONS,  COMMITTED  WITHIN A PERIOD OF EIGHTEEN
 MONTHS, OF SUBDIVISION (C) OF SECTION  ELEVEN  HUNDRED  EIGHTY  OF  THIS
 CHAPTER.
   §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect  on  the first of September next
 succeeding the date on which it shall have become a law.
