BILL NUMBER: S4418 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend chapter 329 of the laws of 2015 amending the vehicle and traffic law relating to the residential parking system in the village of Dobbs Ferry in the county of Westchester, in relation to making such provisions permanent PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL : Extends the Village of Dobbs Ferry residential parking permit system permanently. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS : Section 1 amends Section 3 of Chapter 329 of the laws of 2015 by extending the Residential parking system in the village of Dobbs Ferry permanently. Section 2 states that the act shall take effect immediately. JUSTIFICATION : This would extend the sunset date of the Village of Dobbs Ferry residential parking permit program permanently to continue the program's success in alleviating parking problems for Dobbs Ferry residents located in the area near the Dobbs Ferry train station. Section 3 of chapter 329 of the laws of 2015, amending the vehicle and traffic law relating to the residential parking system in the village of Dobbs Ferry in the county of Westchester, is amended to read as follows: § 3. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall have become a law [and shall expire on January 1, 2018 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed]. § 2.
