BILL NUMBER: S7788 SPONSOR: FELDER TITLE OF BILL: An act making an appropriation to pay Jennifer Simanowitz, widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, member of the Assembly from the 27th assem- bly district, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2017 PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To authorize payment of unpaid annual compensation to Jennifer Simanow- itz, widow of Michael A. Simanowitz, member of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one authorizes the sum of twenty-nine thousand five hundred thirty-eight dollars and forty-two cents ($29,538.42) to be appropriated out of general fund for payment to Jennifer Simanowitz, the widow of the

FELDER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT making an appropriation to pay Jennifer Simanowitz, widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, member of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2017 THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The sum of twenty-nine thousand five hundred thirty-eight dollars and forty-two cents ($29,538.42) is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to the credit of the state purposes account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to Jennifer Simanowitz, the widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, who died on the second day of September, 2017, for the balance due of the unpaid annual compensation which would have been earned by him had he continued to live and serve as such member of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district until the 31st day of December, 2017. The amount here- by appropriated shall be payable to Jennifer Simanowitz on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the manner prescribed by law. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14880-01-8
