BILL NUMBER: S7789 SPONSOR: COMRIE TITLE OF BILL: An act making an appropriation to pay Thomas M. Clark Jr., widower of the late Barbara M. Clark, member of the Assembly from the 33rd assembly district, the balance due of her unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2016 PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To authorize payment of unpaid annual compensation to Thomas M. Clark Jr., widower of Barbara M. Clark, member of the Assembly from the 33rd assembly district. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one authorizes the sum of eighty-two thousand ninety-eight dollars and thirty-seven cents ($82,098.37) to be appropriated out of general fund for payment to Thomas M. COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT making an appropriation to pay Thomas M. Clark Jr., widower of the late Barbara M. Clark, member of the Assembly from the 33rd assem- bly district, the balance due of her unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2016 THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The sum of eighty-two thousand ninety-eight dollars and thirty-seven cents ($82,098.37) is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to the credit of the state purposes account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to Thomas M. Clark Jr., the widower of the late Barbara M. Clark, who died on the twenty-second day of February, 2016, for the balance due of the unpaid annual compensation which would have been earned by her had she contin- ued to live and serve as such member of the Assembly from the 33rd assembly district until the 31st day of December, 2016. The amount here- by appropriated shall be payable to Thomas M. Clark Jr., on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the manner prescribed by law. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14881-01-8
