 Introduced  by  COMMITTEE  ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Ashby) --
   read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
 
 AN ACT authorizing the closure of the Dunn Mine and C&D Debris  Disposal
   Facility;  and providing for the repeal of such provision upon expira-
   tion thereof
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Notwithstanding any provision of the environmental conser-
 vation law or any other provision of law to the contrary, the department
 of environmental conservation shall, on or before July 1, 2023 close the
 Dunn Mine and C&D Debris Disposal Facility, provided, that prior to such
 closure, the city of Rensselaer shall establish other facilities  and/or
 utilize  other  existing  facilities to be operated as local solid waste
 management facilities for the city of Rensselaer.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire  December
 31,  2023 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed
 repealed.
