 AN  ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to enacting the "Han Tak
   Lee Act"
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Short title. This act shall be known and cited as the "Han
 Tak Lee Act".
   § 2. Subdivision 4 of section 158 of the executive law is  amended  by
 adding a new paragraph (g) to read as follows:
   (G)  CERTIFY  ALL  FIREFIGHTERS  WHO SPECIALIZE IN ASSESSING ARSONS TO
 ASCERTAIN THEY HAVE RECEIVED PROPER TRAINING TO DETERMINE WHETHER  FIRES
 ARE  CAUSED  ACCIDENTALLY OR INTENTIONALLY SET. SUCH CERTIFICATION SHALL
 REQUIRE SUCH FIREFIGHTERS TO BE TESTED  ON  "NFPA  921"  STANDARDS,  THE
 NATIONAL  GUIDELINES  SET BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION TO
 COVER ALL ASPECTS OF ARSON-RELATED CASES.
   § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
