 AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to requiring the board  of
   elections to establish and maintain an internet based campaign finance
   disclosure report filing program

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The election law is amended by adding a new section  14-123
 to read as follows:
   §  14-123.  CAMPAIGN  FINANCE  DISCLOSURE REPORT INTERNET BASED FILING
 PROGRAM. THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS SHALL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN AN INTERNET
 BASED PROGRAM PROVIDING CAMPAIGN  FINANCE  DISCLOSURE  REPORT  FILERS  A
 MEANS  TO  FILE  SUCH  REPORTS  OVER THE INTERNET WITHOUT REQUIRING SUCH
 FILERS TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect one year after it shall have become  a
 law.  Effective  immediately,  the addition and/or repeal of any rule or
 regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective
 date are authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective
 date.
