 AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in  relation  to  requiring
   that antique, classic or collectors cars be inspected for safety bien-
   nially instead of annually

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 301 of the vehicle and traffic law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision (g) to read as follows:
   (G)  NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, CLAS-
 SIC, ANTIQUE OR COLLECTORS VEHICLES SHALL BE INSPECTED FOR SAFETY  BIEN-
 NIALLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL OTHER APPLICABLE LAW.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
