 AN  ACT  to amend the penal law, in relation to expanding the definition
   of aggravated harassment in the second degree

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subdivision  5  of  section  240.30  of the penal law, as
 amended by chapter 188 of the laws of 2014, is amended and a new  subdi-
 vision 6 is added to read as follows:
   5.  He  or she commits the crime of harassment in the first degree and
 has previously been convicted of the crime of harassment  in  the  first
 degree as defined by section 240.25 of this article within the preceding
 ten years[.]; OR
   6.  DISCLOSES  OR  DISSEMINATES IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER THE RESIDENCE
 ADDRESS, PRIVATE TELEPHONE NUMBER OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION IDENTIFYING A
 POLICE OFFICER FOR NO LEGITIMATE PURPOSE AND KNOWS OR REASONABLY  SHOULD
 KNOW  THAT  SUCH  CONDUCT IS LIKELY TO CAUSE REASONABLE FEAR OF MATERIAL
 HARM TO THE PHYSICAL HEALTH, SAFETY  OR  PROPERTY  OF  SUCH  OFFICER,  A
 MEMBER OF SUCH OFFICER'S FAMILY, OR A THIRD PARTY WITH WHOM SUCH OFFICER
 IS ACQUAINTED.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
