M. G. MILLER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to requiring the lobby or entrance of a licensed massage therapist office be clearly visible from the outside THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The general business law is amended by adding a new article 28-G to read as follows: ARTICLE 28-G LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST OFFICES SECTION 495. LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS; OFFICE REQUIREMENTS. § 495. LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS; OFFICE REQUIREMENTS. A PREMISES USED FOR THE LICENSED PRACTICE OF MASSAGE THERAPY, AS DEFINED IN SECTION SEVENTY-EIGHT HUNDRED ONE OF THE EDUCATION LAW, SHALL KEEP ANY STREET FACING WINDOWS IN A LOBBY OR ENTRANCE CLEAR OF MATERIAL THAT OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW FROM THE OUTSIDE. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD00176-01-9
