 AN ACT making an appropriation to the Island  Park  School  District  to
   offset a loss of tax revenue
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The sum of seven million dollars ($7,000,000), or  so  much
 thereof  as  may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Island Park
 School District out of any moneys in the state treasury in  the  general
 fund to the credit of the local assistance account, not otherwise appro-
 priated,  and  one  million  dollars  of which shall be made immediately
 available, and one million dollars shall be made available each year  on
 July  first for six subsequent years, for the purpose of stabilizing the
 Island Park School District and offsetting a loss of tax  revenue.  Such
 moneys  shall  be payable on the audit and warrant of the comptroller to
 such school district as prescribed by law.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
