   when printed to be committed to the Committee on Social Services
 
 AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to a child's eligi-
   bility for kinship guardianship assistance payments after adoption  by
   a guardian
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 458-b of the social  services  law  is  amended  by
 adding a new subdivision 1-b to read as follows:
   1-B. A CHILD SHALL REMAIN ELIGIBLE FOR KINSHIP GUARDIANSHIP ASSISTANCE
 PAYMENTS UNDER THIS TITLE SUBSEQUENT TO THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILD BY THE
 RELATIVE GUARDIAN OR SUCCESSOR GUARDIAN.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
