   GOMERY, ORTT, PERSAUD, RAMOS, RANZENHOFER,  RITCHIE,  SERINO,  SEWARD,

 AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to making the yellow pro-suf-
   fragist  rose  the  official flower of the state for the 2020 calendar
   year; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon  expiration
   thereof
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 75 of the state law, as added by chapter 507 of the
 laws of 1955, is amended to read as follows:
   § 75. State flower. The rose shall be the official flower of the state
 in any color or combination of colors common to it, PROVIDED,  THAT  FOR
 THE  CALENDAR  YEAR  TWO THOUSAND TWENTY, THE YELLOW PRO-SUFFRAGIST ROSE
 SHALL BE THE OFFICIAL FLOWER OF THE STATE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
 deemed repealed December 31, 2020.
