 Introduced  by  Sen.  BROOKS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Budget and Revenue
 
 AN ACT to amend part E of chapter 59 of the laws of 2018 relating to the
   repeal of subsection (bbb) of section 606 of the tax law, in  relation
   to the real property tax freeze
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 9 of part E of chapter  59  of  the  laws  of  2018
 relating  to  the  repeal  of subsection (bbb) of section 606 of the tax
 law, is amended to read as follows:
   § 9. This act shall take effect immediately; provided,  however,  that
 sections  [one,]  one-a,  one-b,  two  and  three of this act shall take
 effect April 15, 2020; PROVIDED FURTHER, HOWEVER, THAT  SECTION  ONE  OF
 THIS  ACT  SHALL  TAKE EFFECT APRIL 15, 2025; provided further, however,
 that section 3-d of the general municipal law, as added by  section  two
 of this act, shall expire and be deemed repealed on the same date and in
 the  same  manner  as  section  1 of part A of chapter 97 of the laws of
 2011, expires and is deemed repealed, and provided that  section  2023-b
 of  the  education  law,  as  added  by section three of this act, shall
 expire and be deemed repealed on the same date and in the same manner as
 section 2 of part A of chapter 97 of the laws of 2011,  expires  and  is
 deemed repealed, and provided further that the amendments to paragraph 6
 of  subsection (eee) of section 606 of the tax law made by section eight
 of this act shall take effect immediately and  shall  apply  to  taxable
 years beginning on or after January 1, 2016.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
