Extends the provisions found in Section 3000-a of the Public Health Law (Good Samaritan Law) to any individual or non-profit organization who voluntarily and without expectation of monetary compensation renders first aid or emergency treatment to an individual who is suffering and/or has been infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

 AN ACT to extend certain provisions relating to emergency medical treat-
   ment to individuals and non-profit organizations
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Notwithstanding  any  provisions  to  the  contrary,  the
 provisions under section 3000-a  of  the  public  health  law  shall  be
 extended  to  any  individual or non-profit organization who voluntarily
 and without expectation of monetary compensation renders  first  aid  or
 emergency  treatment  to  an individual who is suffering and/or has been
 infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
