 Introduced  by Sen. CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in  relation  to  the  geriatric
   service  demonstration  program to promote mental health and home care
   collaboration
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 7.41 of the mental hygiene law is amended by adding
 a new subdivision (d) to read as follows:
   (D)  ON  A  PERIODIC  BASIS,  THE COMMISSIONER SHALL IDENTIFY BARRIERS
 WHICH MAY PREVENT AN   AUTHORIZED PROVIDER  FROM  PARTICIPATING  IN  THE
 DEMONSTRATION  PROGRAM, PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION (A) OF THIS SECTION. THE
 COMMISSIONER SHALL SHARE THE IDENTIFIED BARRIERS WITH  THE  COMMISSIONER
 OF  THE  APPROPRIATE  STATE  AGENCY,  AS  WELL AS ANY RECOMMENDATIONS TO
 ADDRESS SUCH BARRIERS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
