 Introduced  by  Sen.  MYRIE  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend chapter 91 of the laws of 2020,  amending  the  election
   law  relating  to  absentee  voting,  in relation to the effectiveness
   thereof
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section  1.  Section 7 of chapter 91 of the laws of 2020, amending the
 election law relating to absentee voting, is amended to read as follows:
   § 7. This act shall take effect immediately[; provided  however,  that
 section one of this act shall take effect one week after the date of the
 2020  New  York primary election, currently scheduled for June 23, 2020;
 provided further, this act shall expire and be deemed repealed  December
 31, 2020].
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
