GUNTHER, M. L. MILLER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Mental Health AN ACT in relation to making available information regarding the process for individuals to obtain eligibility for services offered by the office for people with developmental disabilities; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The front door process. The commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities shall make available on the office website, information regarding the process for individuals to obtain eligibility for services and to seek access to services, includ- ing residential, respite, employment, habilitation, and self-directed services. Such information shall be presented with flow charts or other visual aids as determined appropriate by the commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities to aid in the awareness and understanding of the service delivery process. § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law and shall expire on December 31, 2021. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD02381-01-9
