AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
  relation to school bus parking on city streets

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
by adding a new section 19-608 to read as follows:
  §  19-608  SCHOOL BUS PARKING ON A CITY STREET. NO SCHOOL BUS OPERATED
BY OR PURSUANT TO A CONTRACT WITH THE BOARD OF EDUCATION SHALL:
  (A) PARK ON A CITY STREET ON WEEKDAYS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF  FIVE  P.M.
AND FIVE A.M., OR
  (B)  PARK  ON A CITY STREET ON WEEKENDS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF FIVE P.M.
ON FRIDAY AND FIVE A.M. ON MONDAY.
  § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

Sponsor's Position

"We cannot allow school buses to park on residential streets overnight and on weekends. Parking space in New York are already too scarce."
