AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to declining  party  nomi-
  nations after primary elections

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 6-158 of the election law is amended  by  adding  a
new subdivision 15 to read as follows:
  15.  A PERSON WHO HAS BEEN DESIGNATED FOR NOMINATION FOR PUBLIC OFFICE
BY ANY PARTY OR PARTIES AND WHO THEREAFTER DOES NOT RECEIVE ONE OR  MORE
SUCH  NOMINATIONS  MAY  DECLINE  ANY  NOMINATION OR NOMINATIONS FOR SUCH
OFFICE NOT LATER THAN THE FIFTEENTH DAY AFTER THE PRIMARY ELECTION.
  § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

AN  ACT  to amend the election law, in relation to declining party nomi-
  nations after primary elections

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

NATION HAS BEEN FILED.
  § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next  succeed-
ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
