BILL NUMBER: S6830 SPONSOR: HOYLMAN TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to overnight garbage truck parking on city streets PURPOSE OF BILL: This bill would prohibit any vehicle operated by or pursuant to a contract with the New York City Department of Sanitation for removing, disposing of, conveying or transporting solid waste from parking over- night on a New York City street. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill prohibits any vehicle operated by or pursuant to a contract with the New York City Department of Sanitation for removing, disposing of, conveying or transporting solid waste from parking over- night on a New York City street.

HOYLMAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to overnight garbage truck parking on city streets THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 16-210 to read as follows: § 16-210 OVERNIGHT PARKING ON A CITY STREET. NO VEHICLE OPERATED BY OR PURSUANT TO A CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT FOR THE REMOVING, DISPOSING OF, CONVEYING OR TRANSPORTING SOLID WASTE SHALL PARK OVERNIGHT ON A CITY STREET. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD13046-01-9
