BILL NUMBER: S8858 SPONSOR: HELMING TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal subdivision 24-e of section 10 of the highway law and section 7 of the transportation corporations law, in relation to reduc- ing the cost of expanding broadband access PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of expanding broadband throughout the State of New York. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Repeals subdivision 24-e of section 10 of the Highway Law. Section 2: Repeals section 7 of the Transportation Corporations Law. Section 3: Provides an immediate effective date.

HELMING, BORRELLO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to repeal subdivision 24-e of section 10 of the highway law and section 7 of the transportation corporations law, in relation to reducing the cost of expanding broadband access THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 24-e of section 10 of the highway law is REPEALED. § 2. Section 7 of the transportation corporations law is REPEALED. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
