BILL NUMBER: S89 SPONSOR: KAMINSKY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to authorizing a residential parking system in certain parts of the hamlet of Oceanside in the Town of Hempstead PURPOSE: To authorize a residential parking system on specified streets of the hamlet of Oceanside in the Town of Hempstead. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends subdivision 2 of section 1662-e of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 267 of the laws of 2013 to develop a residential parking system on specified streets in the hamlet of Ocean- side in the Town of Hempstead. Section 2 is the effective date.

KAMINSKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to authorizing a residential parking system in certain parts of the hamlet of Ocean- side in the Town of Hempstead THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 1662-e of the vehicle and traffic law, as added by chapter 267 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as follows: 2. Such residential parking permit system may only be established (I) within the area known as East Meadow of the town consisting of the following roadways: (a) Roosevelt Avenue west of Prospect Avenue; (b) Jefferson Street west of Prospect Avenue; (c) First Street west of Prospect Avenue; (d) Second Street West of Prospect Avenue; (e) Third Street west of Prospect Avenue; (f) Fourth Street west of Prospect Avenue; (g) Clearmeadow Drive; (h) Nottingham Road; (i) Florence Court; (j) Jane Court; (k) Dofena Lane; (l) Franklin Avenue north of 4th Street; (m) Bailey Avenue; (n) Franklin Avenue, north of 7th Street and south of Hempstead Turn- pike; (o) Lincoln Avenue, north of 7th Street and south of Roosevelt Avenue; (p) 5th Street, west of Prospect Avenue; EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
