 Introduced   by   COMMITTEE  ON  RULES  --  (at  request  of  M.  of  A.
   J. M. Giglio) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health
 
 AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation  to  the  involuntary
   confinement  of  individuals  afflicted with a communicable disease in
   certain situations
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Section 2120 of the public health law is amended by adding
 a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
   6. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL  BE  THE  SOLE  AND  EXCLUSIVE
 PROCEDURE FOR THE INVOLUNTARY CONFINEMENT OF ANY INDIVIDUAL AFFLICTED OR
 SUSPECTED OF BEING AFFLICTED WITH A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
