 AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation  to  establishing  a
   public  housing construction and preservation fund for the city of New
   York
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Article 13 of the public housing law is amended by adding a
 new title 1-A to read as follows:
                                 TITLE 1-A
        NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND PRESERVATION
                                   FUND
 SECTION 402-F. DEFINITIONS.
         402-G.  NEW  YORK CITY PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND PRESERVA-
                  TION FUND.
         402-H. POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE FUND.
   § 402-F. DEFINITIONS. AS USED IN THIS TITLE, THE FOLLOWING TERMS SHALL
 HAVE THE FOLLOWING MEANINGS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT CLEARLY REQUIRES  OTHER-
 WISE:
   1. "FUND" SHALL MEAN THE NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND
 PRESERVATION FUND.
   2.  "BOARD"  SHALL  MEAN  THE  BOARD  OF TRUSTEES OF THE NEW YORK CITY
 PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND PRESERVATION FUND.
   3. "PROJECT" SHALL HAVE THE SAME MEANING AS SET FORTH  IN  SUBDIVISION
 FOURTEEN OF SECTION THREE OF THIS CHAPTER.
   §  402-G.  NEW  YORK CITY PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND PRESERVATION
 FUND. 1. THERE IS HEREBY ESTABLISHED A PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION TO  BE
 KNOWN AS THE "NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AND PRESERVATION
 FUND".
   2.  THE  FUND  SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, AND ITS POWERS SHALL BE EXERCISED
 BY, A BOARD OF TRUSTEES. NO MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE  NEW
 
  EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
