 AN  ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to employees classi-
   fied as the Triborough bridge and tunnel authority  superior  officers
   benevolent  association  of  an  MTA-employer  and  the  resolution of
   disputes in the course of collective negotiations
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Subparagraph  (iii)  of paragraph (f) of subdivision 5 of
 section 209 of the civil service law is renumbered subparagraph (iv) and
 a new subparagraph (iii) is added to read as follows:
   (III) WITHIN NINETY DAYS OF THE ENACTMENT OF  THIS  SUBPARAGRAPH,  AND
 ONLY  WITHIN  SUCH  TIME  PERIOD,  ANY SUCH PUBLIC EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION
 CERTIFIED OR REGISTERED TO REPRESENT EMPLOYEES CLASSIFIED AS THE TRIBOR-
 OUGH BRIDGE AND TUNNEL AUTHORITY SUPERIOR OFFICER BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
 OF AN MTA-PUBLIC EMPLOYER (DESCRIBED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (II)  OF  PARAGRAPH
 (A)  OF  THIS  SUBDIVISION) MAY ELECT TO BE COVERED BY THE PROVISIONS OF
 THIS SECTION BY FILING IN WRITING A NOTICE  OF  PARTICIPATION  WITH  THE
 CHAIRMAN  OF  THE BOARD AND THE CHAIRMAN OF THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTA-
 TION AUTHORITY.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately, provided,  however,  that
 the  amendments  to paragraph (f) of subdivision 5 of section 209 of the
 civil service law made by section one of this act shall not  affect  the
 expiration of such subdivision and shall be deemed to expire therewith.
