 AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
   relation to requiring the posting of rights  and  responsibilities  of
   tenants in common areas

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Article 12 of subchapter 2 of chapter 2 of title 27 of  the
 administrative  code  of the city of New York is amended by adding a new
 section 27-2051.2 to read as follows:
   § 27-2051.2 POSTING OF RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF  TENANTS.    THE
 OWNER  OF A RESIDENTIAL DWELLING WHERE AT LEAST ONE DWELLING UNIT IS NOT
 OCCUPIED BY SUCH OWNER SHALL POST THE RIGHTS AND  RESPONSIBILITIES    OF
 TENANTS,  AS THEY WOULD BE FOUND IN A NEW LEASE AGREEMENT, IN THE COMMON
 AREAS OF THE RESIDENTIAL DWELLING IN SUFFICIENT  SIZE  TO  BE  SEEN  AND
 READ.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
