 Introduced by M. of A. ZINERMAN -- (at request of the NYS Council on The
   Arts)  --  read  once and referred to the Committee on Tourism, Parks,
   Arts and Sports Development
 
 AN ACT to amend the arts and cultural affairs law, in relation to quorum
   of the council of the arts

   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Section  3.03  of  the  arts  and cultural affairs law is
 amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
   § 5. A QUORUM SHALL CONSIST OF A MAJORITY OF THE APPOINTED MEMBERS  OF
 THE  COUNCIL  ENTITLED TO VOTE ON THE MATTER UNDER CONSIDERATION AND NOT
 LESS THAN A MAJORITY OF THE APPOINTED MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ENTITLED TO
 VOTE ON THE MATTER UNDER CONSIDERATION  MAY  PERFORM  AND  EXERCISE  THE
 POWER, AUTHORITY OR DUTY OF THE COUNCIL.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
