S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8123 2021-2022 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y June 11, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. LAWLER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the cannabis law, in relation to the THC level of certain products THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 84 of the cannabis law is amended by adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. NO DISTRIBUTOR SHALL SELL, OR AGREE TO SELL OR DELIVER: (A) ANY CANNABIS FLOWER WITH A THC CONTENT OF MORE THAN FIFTEEN PERCENT; OR (B) ANY CANNABIS-INFUSED PRODUCT OR CONCENTRATED CANNABIS WITH A THC CONTENT OF MORE THAN SIXTY PERCENT. § 2. Section 125 of the cannabis law is amended by adding a new subdi- vision 1-a to read as follows: 1-A. NO PERSON SHALL SELL: (A) ANY CANNABIS FLOWER WHICH CONTAINS A THC CONTENT OF MORE THAN FIFTEEN PERCENT; OR (B) ANY CANNABIS-INFUSED PRODUCT OR CONCENTRATED CANNABIS WHICH CONTAINS A THC CONTENT OF MORE THAN SIXTY PERCENT. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation neces- sary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
