AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to authorizing a
class action law suit in the state anti-trust law
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 340 of the general business law is amended by
adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
7. ANY DAMAGES RECOVERABLE PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION MAY BE RECOVERED
IN ANY ACTION WHICH A COURT MAY AUTHORIZE TO BE BROUGHT AS A CLASS
ACTION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE NINE OF THE CIVIL PRACTICE LAW AND RULES.
§ 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
