 AN  ACT  directing  the commissioner of housing and community renewal to
   require certain housing quality standards  inspections  of  Section  8
   housing
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

   Section 1. Within ninety days of the effective date of this  act,  the
 commissioner of housing and community renewal shall amend the department
 of  housing  and  community  renewal's  Section 8 administrative plan to
 require a Section 8 local administrator to  conduct  a  housing  quality
 standards  inspection  of  a dwelling unit when a tenant moves out of or
 vacates such unit. Such inspection shall be in  addition  to  any  other
 required housing quality standards inspections.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
