 Introduced  by  Sen. PALUMBO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT exempting the Port Jefferson fire district from sales and compen-
   sating use tax imposed on the value of a vehicle donated to such  fire
   district

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
 the Port Jefferson fire district shall be exempt from any taxes  imposed
 on  such  fire district in the amount of $8,821.40 plus any penalties or
 interest which may have accrued, charged on an invoice dated November 8,
 2021 from the office of general services in connection with the donation
 of a surplus vehicle to such fire district.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
