 AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to exempting any land located
   in the state forest preserve in the Adirondack and Catskill parks from
   certain provisions of law relating to prohibiting firearms  in  public
   parks

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of section 265.01-e  of  the
 penal  law,  as  added by chapter 371 of the laws of 2022, is amended to
 read as follows:
   (d) libraries, public playgrounds,  public  parks,  EXCEPT  ANY  STATE
 FOREST  PRESERVE  LAND LOCATED IN THE ADIRONDACK AND CATSKILL PARKS, and
 zoos;
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the  same  date  and  in  the  same
 manner as chapter 371 of the laws of 2022, takes effect.
