 Introduced  by  Sen.  GRIFFO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
   permits  for  major  renewable  energy  facility  sites; and to repeal
   section 94-c of the executive law  relating  to  the  major  renewable
   energy development program

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 94-c of the executive law is REPEALED.
   § 2. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 5 of section 8-0111 of the  environ-
 mental  conservation law, as amended by section 1 of part BBB of chapter
 55 of the laws of 2021, is amended to read as follows:
   (b) Actions subject to the provisions requiring a certificate of envi-
 ronmental compatibility and public need in articles seven, ten  and  the
 former  article  eight  of the public service law [or requiring a siting
 permit under section ninety-four-c of the executive law]; or
   § 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
