TAGUE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT in relation to authorizing the commissioner of education to conduct a study regarding courses of study on the Holocaust within the state THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The commissioner of education is authorized and directed to conduct a study regarding courses of study on the Holocaust within the state. Such study shall focus on identifying which school districts subject to section eight hundred one of the education law offer a course of information on the Holocaust. § 2. A report of the findings of such study and recommendations of the commissioner of education shall be delivered to the governor, the tempo- rary president of the senate, the speaker of the assembly, the minority leader of the senate and the minority leader of the assembly the first of January following the effective date of this act. § 3. The commissioner of education shall promulgate regulations to ensure instruction on the Holocaust is provided at all schools in compliance with section eight hundred one of the education law. § 4.
