DINOWITZ -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Election Law AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2021 amending the election law relating to providing an online absentee ballot tracking system, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S.6395-A and A.4186-B, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of a chapter of the laws of 2021 amending the election law relating to providing an online absentee ballot tracking system, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S.6395-A and A.4186-B, is amended to read as follows: § 3. This act shall take effect [January] APRIL 1, 2022. Effective immediately, the state board of elections shall be authorized to promul- gate any rules or regulations required to carry out the provisions of this act prior to such effective date. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05765-06-2
