 AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation  to  requiring  employers  to
   display  a  poster  containing  information  on veterans' benefits and
   services which shall be created and distributed by the  department  of
   labor

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1.  The labor law is amended by adding a new section 201-h  to
 read as follows:
   § 201-H. POSTING OF VETERANS' BENEFITS AND SERVICES. 1. THE DEPARTMENT
 SHALL  CONSULT  WITH  THE  DIVISION  OF VETERANS' SERVICES TO CREATE AND
 DISTRIBUTE A VETERANS' BENEFITS AND SERVICES POSTER.
   2. SUCH POSTER SHALL, AT A MINIMUM, INCLUDE INFORMATION REGARDING  THE
 FOLLOWING SERVICES AVAILABLE TO VETERANS:
   A.  CONTACT  NUMBERS  FOR  VETERANS'  RESOURCES, INCLUDING CONTACT AND
 WEBSITE INFORMATION FOR THE DIVISION OF VETERANS' SERVICES;
   B. SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT;
   C. EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES;
   D. TAX BENEFITS;
   E. NEW YORK STATE VETERAN DRIVERS' LICENSES;
   F. UNEMPLOYMENT RIGHTS AND BENEFITS;
   G. LEGAL SERVICES; AND
   H. CONSTITUENCY GROUPS SUCH AS  WOMEN'S,  AFRICAN  AMERICANS',  NATIVE
 AMERICANS', AND LGBTQ VETERANS' GROUPS.
   3. EVERY EMPLOYER IN THE STATE SHALL DISPLAY THE POSTER CREATED PURSU-
 ANT  TO THIS SECTION IN A PLACE ACCESSIBLE TO SUCH EMPLOYER'S EMPLOYEES,
 AND IN A VISUALLY CONSPICUOUS MANNER.
   § 2.  This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
 ing the date on which it shall have become a law. Effective immediately,
 the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or  regulation  neces-
 sary  for  the  implementation  of  this  act  on its effective date are
 authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
