BILL NUMBER: S4381 SPONSOR: RAMOS TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to removing the option to file an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2021 primary election; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The purpose of the bill is to remove the option to file an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2021 primary election. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 provides that notwithstanding section 6-164 of the Election Law, there shall be no option to file an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2021 primary election. Section 2 is the effective date.

RAMOS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT in relation to removing the option to file an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2021 primary election; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding section 6-164 of the election law, there shall be no option to file an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2021 primary election. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed December 31, 2021. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
