BILL NUMBER: S4717 SPONSOR: RATH TITLE OF BILL: An act authorizing the county of Genesee to make voluntary revenue distribution payments to towns or villages within the county PURPOSE: This bill relates to how towns and villages in Genesee County may expend voluntary revenue distribution payments from Genesee County. JUSTIFICATION: In 2018, Genesee County notified the towns and villages within the coun- ty that the sales and tax agreements in effect would expire effective 12/31/19. A new long term agreement was entered into between the county and the city of Batavia to provide dependable financial support for the construction of a new county jail and water infrastructure, but it was determined that it would not be prudent to also provide such a long term
