BILL NUMBER: S6691 SPONSOR: HINCHEY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 333 of the laws of 2018 amending the general business law relating to the one-call notification system, in relation to making such provisions permanent; and to repeal certain provisions of such chapter relating thereto PURPOSE: To eliminate the sunset date on the one-call notification system train- ing law. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Sections one and two eliminate the sunset expiration for Chapter 333 of 2018. Section two provides the effective date.

HINCHEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Consumer Protection AN ACT to amend chapter 333 of the laws of 2018 amending the general business law relating to the one-call notification system, in relation to making such provisions permanent; and to repeal certain provisions of such chapter relating thereto THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 9 of chapter 333 of the laws of 2018 amending the general business law relating to the one-call notification system, is amended to read as follows: § 9. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after it shall have become a law[; provided, however, that section three of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed October 1, 2021 when upon such date section four of this act shall take effect; provided, further, however, that sections five, seven and eight of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed October 1, 2021]. § 2. Section 4 of chapter 333 of the laws of 2018 amending the general business law relating to the one-call notification system is REPEALED. § 3. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11244-01-1
