BILL NUMBER: S6942 SPONSOR: SERINO TITLE OF BILL: An act to repeal section 624 of the general municipal law relating to the Poughkeepsie urban renewal agency PURPOSE: To repeal the inactive Poughkeepsie Urban Renewal Agency. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Repeals section 624 of the general municipal law. Section 2: Provides that any existing records, property, rights, titles and interest of the City of Poughkeepsie Urban Renewal Agency shall vest in and be possessed by the City and its successors or assigns. Section 3: Provides the effective date.

SERINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to repeal section 624 of the general municipal law relating to the Poughkeepsie urban renewal agency THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 624 of the general municipal law is REPEALED. § 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any existing records, property, rights, titles and interest of the city of Poughkeepsie urban renewal agency shall vest in and be possessed by the city of Poughkeepsie and its successors or assigns. § 3.
