 Introduced  by Sen. MARTUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the  use  of
   remote training programs in code enforcement training
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (f) of subdivision 4  of  section  376-a  of  the
 executive law, as amended by chapter 468 of the laws of 2017, is amended
 to read as follows:
   (f) [Cause studies and surveys to be made relating] DIRECT THE DEPART-
 MENT  TO  USE REMOTE TRAINING PROGRAMS USING VIDEOS, COMPUTERS, OR OTHER
 SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES to EFFECTUATE the completion or partial  completion
 of  [training  programs by video or computer] ALL INITIAL AND IN-SERVICE
 TRAINING REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION  to  the  maximum  extent
 practicable;
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
