 Introduced  by  Sen.  COMRIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
   printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
 
 AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to directing the
   New York city transit authority to  include  instructions  on  how  to
   react when a person falls onto the subway tracks in its ongoing safety
   education  campaigns;  and  repealing  certain  provisions of such law
   relating to requiring the New York  city  transit  authority  advisory
   council to investigate, report and make recommendations on instructing
   the  public  on  how  to react when an individual falls onto authority
   facility tracks
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  The  public  authorities  law  is amended by adding a new
 section 1204-f to read as follows:
   §  1204-F.  SUBWAY  TRACK  SAFETY.   THE   AUTHORITY   SHALL   INCLUDE
 INSTRUCTIONS  ON  HOW  TO  REACT  SAFELY, TIMELY, AND EFFECTIVELY WHEN A
 PERSON FALLS ONTO THE SUBWAY TRACKS AS PART OF ITS ONGOING SAFETY EDUCA-
 TION CAMPAIGNS.
   § 2. Subdivision 5 of section 1204-e of the public authorities law, as
 added by a chapter of the laws of 2021 amending the  public  authorities
 law  relating  to requiring the New York city transit authority advisory
 council to investigate, report and make recommendations  on  instructing
 the  public  on  how  to  react  when an individual falls onto authority
 facility tracks, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3160-A  and
 A. 935-A, is REPEALED.
   §  3.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
 manner as a chapter of the laws of 2021 amending the public  authorities
 law  relating  to requiring the New York city transit authority advisory
 council to investigate, report and make recommendations  on  instructing
 the  public  on  how  to  react  when an individual falls onto authority
 facility tracks, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3160-A  and
 A. 935-A, takes effect.
