BILL NUMBER: S7918 SPONSOR: HINCHEY TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to expand- ing the definition of crops, livestock and livestock products to include cannabis PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The purpose of this legislation is to clearly define cannabis as an agricultural product and make it eligible to receive an agricultural assessment along with other protections Afforded in the Agricultural Districts law. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1: Subdivision 2 of section 301 of the Agriculture and Markets law is amended by adding a new paragraph (m). Section 2: Established the effective date.

Subdivision 2 of section 301 of the agriculture and markets law is amended by adding a new paragraph m to read as follows: M. CANNABIS AS DEFINED IN SECTION THREE OF THE CANNABIS LAW. § 2.
